Nightclubs, Yada, Yada

How do nightclubs stay in business?

I was attending an event last night at a popular nightclub in downtown San Diego, and it felt.. stale.

I began to wonder how older nightclubs manage to keep the crowds coming. They can’t all headline the popular DJ or act, and especially not every single weekend. So how do they do it?

I honestly don’t think they do. I think many clubs and lounges take a loss, and eventually, go out of business. Or maybe a small crowd can turn profits and that’s all they need.

Is your business just running, in hopes of breaking even? Does it rely on a big act to bring crowds? Are you using the nightclub model?
